Octopus Divers is a not for profit scuba diving club run by scuba divers for scuba divers covering Doncaster, Selby, Pontefract, Goole, Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas. If you live outside these areas you can still join. It is affiliated to the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) - the world's largest SCUBA diving club. We welcome scuba divers trained by other agencies such as PADI, CMAS, SAA, TDI, SSI etc many of our members started their scuba diving training off with other training organisations. Our members regularly scuba dive not only around the UK, but also abroad including the Canaries, Egypt, the USA, the Caribbean and Australia.

BSAC is the Governing Body for Underwater Sport in the UK with Branches in the UK and world-wide. Our affiliation to the BSAC means our members amongst other things get free liability insurance, a free top class glossy monthly magazine - BSAC DIVE normally £4.20 a month (£50.40 per year), discounted AA membership and a 10% discount on Hayes & Jarvis Holidays. We own several sets of basic equipment which means we do not have to borrow equipment for training.

We undertake our pool training at the Askern & Campsall Sports Centre. We are the only scuba diving club in the Doncaster area that has access to a 3 metre deep swimming pool.

Are you already qualified through another organisation such as PADI or SSI and looking for buddies to go diving with - no problem click here and see how easy it is to join us & have your qualifications recognised.

Already qualified via BSAC?

No Problem - just contact us via our contact page and we will arrange when you can meet and join us. The process is straight forward and it does not matter if you are a member of another diving club. We will need to see your QRB as part of the signing up process.

Already qualified by another SCUBA training organisation?

Again no problem - Octopus Divers welcomes previous diver training by recognised organisations, whether recreational, commercial or military. It doesn't matter who you trained with, if you've never dived in the UK before or if you haven't dived for a few seasons. just contact us via our contact page and we will arrange when you can meet and join us. We will need to see your existing qualification as part of the signing up process.
